The Medical Technology Association of New Zealand (MTANZ) is coordinating this conference to celebrate the emerging and diverse medical technology sector which comprises approximately 80-120 entities.

This event will showcase the New Zealand Emerging Medical Technology sector and connect it with its local resources of knowledge and expertise. The conference will create invaluable networking and business opportunities, and will also attract international expertise.

New Zealand represents a ‘micro-climate’ of innovation, nestled within a uniquely positioned regulatory environment.  The country’s distance and isolation create some distinct competitive advantages for technology development and innovation.

The emerging medical technology sector creates real value to New Zealand’s economy.  It generates around $500 million in exports per year and provides thousands of jobs in a technology intensive sector. The sector builds IP portfolios that represent long term growth while sophisticated technology and high value solutions improve the health outcomes of New Zealanders and other people worldwide.
